Home visits during the postpartum period
The baby is here and many questions arise, but you'd rather stay at home. During regular home visits, we discuss all topics related to the newborn, breastfeeding and feeding, the mother's recovery, the parents' mental well-being, and settling in as a newly formed family. I also monitor all medical parameters that are important during the postpartum period and refer you to a specialist if anything unusual is noticed. We will decide how many home visits are necessary on a case-by-case basis, tailored to your individual needs.

Baby massage course in a group
Baby massage is primarily about satisfying a baby's need for physical contact and touch. Parents quickly gain confidence in interacting with their child. Metabolism, sensory perception, and the immune system are stimulated. Furthermore, massage can also help prevent or relieve painful gas and colic.
We meet four times in small groups (approximately six mother/father/child pairs) and massage the babies using the Leboyer baby massage technique, which originated in India. We heat the room well so that the babies can be massaged naked with warmed oil. There is usually some time before or after the massage to discuss current concerns or to exchange ideas with the group.
Ideally, the course should begin between the sixth week and fifth month of the child's life. Herbal oils ideal for massage and a script describing the massage techniques will be provided.
Cost: 120€/ 4 units of 1 hour each
Course location: Midwifery Center Vienna, Lazarettgasse 8/1B/1, 1090 Vienna
Postnatal exercise in a group
A woman's body undergoes major changes during pregnancy and after childbirth. Effective postnatal recovery is essential to prevent long-term complications. The focus is on gradually strengthening the abdominal and pelvic floor muscles, so this course is a closed group with six sessions. There's usually some time before or after the course to discuss current concerns or exchange ideas with the group.
It is recommended that participants attend the course without their baby, allowing them to focus entirely on themselves and their bodies. If it's necessary to bring the baby, that's also no problem.
The ideal time to start the course is 6 weeks after birth (both after vaginal birth and after cesarean section).
